Strong local communities will play a role in shaping the future of Halforia.
21. Am I restricted to booking only the races shown on the map?
No — during the Founders Season, any official half marathon in Europe may be submitted through your personal area, provided it includes a publicly available results system and takes place before January 1st, 2028.
The races currently shown on the map represent part of the evolving Halforia ecosystem during the Founders Season.
From 2028 onward, only the official Halforia series races will count toward progression.
22. Are the races shown in the dashboard more likely to become part of the official series?
No — the official 2028 race series has not yet been selected.
The races currently displayed across the platform may evolve throughout the Founders Season as the community grows and participation patterns emerge.
The final official series may include different races from those currently featured.
23. How will the official races be chosen?
The official 2028 Halforia series will include 9 races across Europe.
6 races will be strategically curated by Halforia, while 3 races will be influenced by the Founding community during the Founders Season.
Closer to Q4 2027, active Halforia users will be invited to participate in a community vote to help shape the final community-selected races.
Participation, community momentum, city engagement, and overall ecosystem relevance throughout the Founders Season will help determine which races reach the final selection phase.
The official 9 races will be revealed on January 1st, 2028.
24. How can I support my favorite race or city?
By participating, inviting other runners, and helping grow a local Halforia community around the races you believe in.
During the Founders Season, community momentum plays an important role in shaping the future official series.
The next cities are not simply chosen — they are built.
